      Jiu jitsu is appropriate for people of all ages, as the training can be modified to suit the student. As long as you are older than 3, you are ready to start!

      Your fitness level doesn’t matter, as BJJ can be suited for all fitness levels. Although, you will notice that BJJ will improve your fitness level significantly! BJJ is a skill sport focusing on technique and strategy over strength, speed and power, although having these qualities can help you in your training.

      Yes! We welcome first timers frequently, and take our hats off for people deciding to start their BJJ journey. Our Fundamentals class program is aimed at beginners and covers a wide range of foundational skills that you will need to know to practise BJJ safely and effectively.

      Like in any sport/activity, injuries can happen. Our goal is to teach you the techniques for you to stay safe. We do recommend that you maintain a strong body, e.g. with resistance training, to prevent injuries from happening.

      Water bottle, shoes that are easy to wear (e.g. thongs/slides) and good spirit! We will provide you with the full uniform (gi, rashguard and belt).
